This Tech Tool Might Be the Only Thing Standing Between My Grandma and ‘Bail Money’ Scams

Grandparent Scam
This is my real grandma.

I rarely find a tech product I am willing to tell others about. In fact, my general rule is simple: if a company needs twelve influencers, three fake testimonials, and a guy yelling in a Lamborghini to convince me, I’m probably out. (Am I the guy yelling from the Lamborghini in this scenario?)

But every once in a while, you find something that actually solves a real problem instead of inventing one. For me...that is CLOAKED.

Scams have gotten smarter. They don’t always come from obvious emails filled with misspellings, like:

“Deer Costumer, your acownt has been suspendid, click hear immediatly.”

Now they look polished. Professional. Familiar.

They spoof phone numbers, clone websites, hijack social media accounts, and even pretend to be your grandchild crying and needing bail money… which honestly, in my case, my grandma would instantly think to herself, Makes sense...it was just a matter of time, and instantly send the money.

At this point, avoiding scams isn’t about being “bad with technology.” It’s about surviving an internet where criminals have excellent customer service skills, marketing strategies, and what can only be described as an unsolicited PhD in social engineering and emotional manipulation. Honestly, some of them could probably pass a performance review at a Fortune 500 company ... if you ignored the whole “illegally extracting your life savings” part.

Which is why I was genuinely shocked to find a tech product that solved ALL my concerns in this current scam landscape we call the internet. I find most tech-based products are a monthly subscription to disappointment. But this one was different. It gave me so many more services than I even thought I was getting. No ridiculous promises. No “AI-powered revolutionary synergy platform” nonsense. Just a practical tool that quietly makes it harder for scammers to ruin your week. Here are just a few features.

  • Data Broker Removal

  • Encrypted Password Manager

  • Burner Emails and Phone Numbers

  • Call Guard (Spam Blocker)

  • VPN

These are all tech tools I was paying for individually with other companies, and they were not even that great. Also, what I find wildly shocking is how inexpensive it is. Cloaked is cheaper than the average impulse Amazon purchase—and significantly less likely to turn into a scam-induced life lesson. So...around $10 bucks a month ;)

Most people lock their front doors every night without thinking twice. But online? We casually hand out phone numbers, emails, and personal information generously like hooded strangers in windowless vans handing out candy to children in parks. Then we act shocked when we receive 80 spam calls a day, fake texts/emails, and numerous marriage proposals from Saudi Sheiks. Not falling for that...again.

With all the data we have willingly put out on the internet, it's time to get that data back.

Scams don’t happen in a vacuum. They happen because our personal information is everywhere — sitting in data broker databases, leaked in breaches, sold by apps, scraped from public records, and floating around the internet long after we forgot about it. Every extra piece of exposed data becomes another tool scammers can use to impersonate you, target you, or manipulate you.

Keeping your data online and hoping nothing happens is like leaving your car unlocked in a bad neighborhood and saying, “Well, technically nobody has stolen it yet.” The longer it sits there, the more it turns from a car into a community giveaway.

Turns out privacy is a lot cheaper than fraud recovery.

So yes, against my natural instincts, I’m recommending this tech product to anyone who has been exposed to a scam recently — so everybody. Not because it’s trendy. Because in a world where scams are evolving and exponentially increasing daily, having

an extra layer of protection feels less like a luxury and more like basic survival on the internet.

Enter Your Phone Number & Just See What Happens. It is kind of shocking.
