They may just be doing a few chores, running you to the airport, or light cleaning, and they might even have been recommended by some you trust, but that doesn't mean they don't have a criminal record.

GMAIL CALL SCAM

Gmail users have reported receiving phone calls from people claiming to work for Google, complete with a caller ID that says the Google. Once they have the users on the line, the caller informs them that the their Google account has been compromised in some way.

FAKE PAYMENT REQUESTS

There has been a substantial increase within the community of residents receiving emails, texts, and calls from other residents in the Plantation seeking payment for services, tickets, clubs, HOA, etc. DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO ANYONE you are not face to face with having a conversation.
FAKE MCAFEE POP-UP ADS

If you started getting fake McAfee virus pop-ups with titles such as “McAfee critical virus alert” or ones that urge you to install McAfee antivirus, it might be a sign that your device is infected with scareware. The first thing to do is to get a robust antivirus – do not click on the po-pup! These fake McAfee pop-ups are most likely a scam that mainly targets your credit card details, resulting in financial losses and identity theft.

A new warning for PayPal users follows recent alerts for Amazon and Facebook users, as new attacks target account holders with messages masking malicious sign-ins. These messages appear to come directly from PayPal, and users need to beware.
